Our home is in the Département de Chimie at the Université de Montréal. We are broadly interested in molecular design and synthesis, and we work with a wide range of organic, organometallic, and inorganic compounds. Molecular association plays a central role in our projects, and one of our principal objectives is to learn how to control organization by using weak interactions to position neighboring molecules according to plan. In this way, we are helping to decipher the complex rules that govern how the structure of individual molecules determines their organization and collective properties. Recent work shows how our multidisciplinary approach to molecular science is contributing to advances in diverse fields, including materials science, surface science, and nanotechnology.
